On Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, Dutch composer Stephen Emmer released his new album ‘Mt. Mundane This album contains 15 cinematic adagio compositions for piano, orchestra and choir, inspired by his personal struggles with tinnitus and deafness. Emmer founded the Artists against Tinnitus foundation to support others. Already considered his magnum opus, “Mt. Mundane” was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with a host of renowned musicians.
The compositions are musically colorful and powerful, inspired by great French composers such as Debussy and Ravel. Emmer wants his music to convey hope and optimism for anyone facing life-changing situations. The album was released on October 11, 2024, on Stephen Emmer’s own label, Electric Fairytale Recordings.
